ABOUT US
Meet The Team
Co.Design4All is the result of years of incidental meetings which led to a meeting of the minds of the founders Natasha Doherty and Tracey Johnson. We believe more can be achieved if groups work together on interesting problems. Ensuring groups are effective when faced with big problems relies on good facilitation.
This is a skill which can be taught through equipping anyone interested with a toolkit. So after decades adding many facilitation techniques to our professional skills we have created a platform which brings the best of what we have leant and applied to the fingertips of anyone interested.

ABOUT OUR WORK
Winning hearts, minds and wallets!
Natasha and Tracey have spent decades working with and within large corporations, government, healthcare providers and the not for profit sector. Their diverse career paths have one common thread; improving the ability of organisations to execute on delivery of novel solutions which make an impact. Most of their work has focussed on achieving complex change in regional and industry development and the health and social care sectors.
What makes such settings challenging is that many players need to embrace an issue to solve it. Winning hearts, minds and wallets is what they have done countless times. Using co-design techniques to get everyone focussed on a shared definition of the problem and galvanised to act is second nature.
Their expertise is widely acknowledged with the pair separately and together speaking to many thousands of people every year through conference keynotes, workshop delivery, facilitating forums and guiding the creation of new strategies and services.
Developing business cases, advocacy documents and pitches for change is what they do best. Having won hundreds of millions of dollars for their clients and organisations to deliver change they are now making available to you the tools which underpin their exceptional performance.

LinkedIn ProfileTracey Johnson
Tracey has been CEO of Inala Primary Care, a charitable, award-winning general practice in Queensland’s most disadvantaged suburban location for more than 10 years. She has facilitated projects with local stakeholders to generate new models of care, developed the business cases for change, pitched for funding, created shared governance models and evaluated outcomes whilst managing the conflict which can arise between parties.
Tracey’s has a background in product development in the medical technology sector and industry development. Pair those experiences with stints working in regional economic development early in her career and she brings to a room many experiences of working with groups to solve complex problems and design new services or solutions.
Enabling everyone to be their best every day is Tracey’s motto. This has led to devotion to developing practical training programs, useful workplace tools and facilitation which cuts through organisational politics. She is a change agent, mentor, problem solver and energiser with credibility to convince even reluctant participants to engage in collaborative working and co-design.

CO.DESIGN4ALL IN ACTION
Case Study: Health Equity Coalition
Natasha and Tracey assembled a coalition of six not for profit health and social care providers in Brisbane. Each delivered some medical services amongst their other service offerings. Each organisation served a marginalised or disadvantaged community. Every organisation was under-funded for that task.
Through building relationships the Health Equity Coalition emerged. After pitching for government funding to enable collaboration to formulate a business case, $100K was used to co-design a model of care inspired by international best practice and Australian innovators.
Through a series of workshops and meetings the group developed a policy paper and a business case for change. The pitch was underpinned by sharing funding, staffing, data, evaluation models and joint access to a large pool for rebuilding infrastructure.

Co-design is a rapidly evolving field. We are frequently asked to train organisations in how to do co-design. Our toolkit is deployed within organisations as the reference for how to undertake co-design projects. We mentor their teams and support other co-design practitioners improve their skills.
We are keen to expand our team to include those with experience doing co-design in the mining, resources, infrastructure and property sectors where interest is rising. We would love to hear from those inside and outside of Australia where we are based.
We are on a mission to make co-design commonplace. We are writing a book as the next chapter in equipping others. If you have a great case study or share our passion please reach out.
